15 MINUTE PROJECTS IF YOU HAVE 15 MINUTES, YOU CAN DO MORE THAN YOU THINK!
This is a great example of a cupboard in the kitchen that houses plastic containers. This is what clutter looks like. We call this clutter because it isn't functional and really bothered the homeowner. It bothered the homeowner so much she didn't want to open the cupboard door!
STEP ONE ASSESS THE SITUATION.
What is it about this space that isn't working?
In this case, it became a chore to find the lid that belonged to the container.
STEP TWO CLEAR OUT THE SPACE.
This really helps you start from scratch. It also has a therapeutic effect to it when you pull everything out, empty it on the floor and begin anew.
STEP THREE GET RID OF WHAT ISN'T NEEDED.
Questions to ask
Is it broken? Do I need it? Is it functional? Do I like it? Do I want it?
In this case, there were lids without containers so that means TOSS!
STEP FOUR DE-CLUTTERED
This is what a de-cluttered, organized space looks like.
Not only does it look nice, but every container is matched up with the corresponding lid making it functional and efficient.
BATHROOM PROJECT
This is a cluttered and inefficient space needing some help.
This is a multi-use cupboard.
Step 1 Pull everything out of the space
Step 2 Sort out what is trash, what does not belong here, what you want to keep
Step 3 Put back only what belongs in the space
This is the finished project!
Note that there is less in here than what was there initially. The bin helps keep items sorted in this small, multi-use space. Bins are optional.
It is more important to get the space to be functional for your use.
